Walmart case study
I was charged in my prior position with creating the UX and UI for the whole corporate Walmart website. In order to achieve this, I applied the guiding principles and best practices of UX and UI design to produce a user-friendly interface that was intuitive and catered to the demands of Walmart's wide range of customers.
I made sure that every component of the website was aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly, and optimized for optimal usage throughout the design process. This involved doing an in-depth analysis of user behaviour and preferences and working with cross-functional teams to make sure the website complemented Walmart's overarching business objectives and brand positioning.
I also thoroughly tested and examined the website's functionality to ensure the best possible user experience.
I also thoroughly tested and evaluated the website's performance in order to construct an ideal user experience. I solicited user feedback and used data-driven insights to continuously enhance the design.
Creating the UX and UI for the corporate Walmart website required me to have a thorough understanding of both business strategy and design principles, as well as a dedication to provide the best experience for Walmart's customers. I'm delighted to have played a crucial part in this project's successful launch and to have helped Walmart's online presence remain successful.
Crafting of Animated graphics
By applying the best practices and guiding principles of UX and UI design, I confidently produced animations that resulted in a highly intuitive and user-friendly interface catering to the diverse needs of Walmart's customers and employees.
Wireframing
I started the design process by drawing the initial wireframes.
In order to accomplish this, I designed the homepage using design software as well as conventional sketching methods. In order to do this, a preliminary foundation for the general design had to be created, along with a map of the page's essential components, including the header, navigation, and content sections.
After finishing the first sketches, I iterated on the wireframes and made adjustments based on customer feedback to make sure the final design matched their requirements and preferences. I also concentrated on making sure the design was user-friendly and maximized for usability throughout the process, taking into account elements like page load times, accessibility, and simplicity of use.
Navigation
Creating an excellent navigation bar and footer that displays all the items that you can access throughout the entire website will provide a wonderful user experience.
Be Consistent Across the Whole Website
Maintaining consistency throughout the entirety of a website is a critical component of effective UX/UI design. By ensuring that all design elements, including colours, typography, and layout, are consistent across all pages and sections of the website, users are able to navigate and engage with the content more easily and efficiently.
Responsive Design
As an Art Director and UX/UI designer, I approach developing layouts that are effective by examining and taking into account the demands of consumers across various devices. In order to accomplish this, I make use of a variety of tools and approaches that enable me to guarantee an uninterrupted and consistent user experience while also making sure that the design aspects are easily translated into code for the development team.
Using Figma's Autolayout tool, which allows me to build designs with accuracy and precision while also ensuring that the padding margins and other design aspects are constant across different devices, is one of the main ways I accomplish this. So that the developers will have a clear idea of how to implement the design, I can be confident that it will convert well into code.
All these layout are were created on Figma.
Multiple UI Homepage Explorations
In developing the user interface for the home page, I employed a range of proven UX methodologies and best practices. Through careful research and analysis, I identified the most effective design elements and features to incorporate, considering user behavior, preferences, and needs. Drawing on my extensive experience in this area, I leveraged various tools and techniques to create a visually appealing and user-friendly interface that maximizes engagement and achieves business objectives.
Annual Impact Report 2022 Walmart Website
As part of my responsibilities for Walmart, I was tasked with leading the creation of their annual impact report for the year 2022. Working collaboratively with my team, I directed the development of all artistic elements, assets, and user experience and user interface design, ensuring a cohesive and effective layout for the report.
I was able to ensure that the final product was visually stunning, intuitive, and highly effective in communicating Walmart's key achievements and impact throughout the year. Overall, it was an incredibly rewarding experience that allowed me to showcase my leadership skills, creativity, and passion for delivering exceptional results.
